About Project Positive

Project Positive is a non-profit foundation governed and managed by a volunteer board of directors whose purpose is to raise funds to support innovative community-based HIV/AIDS projects, organizations, and partnerships in Winnipeg; Manitoba, Canada and Chennai; Tamil Nadu, India. All projects, organizations and/or partnerships supported by Project Positive must meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Contribute to the prevention of HIV/AIDS in realistic and measurable ways;


• Improve the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS in realistic and measurable ways;


• Be community-based research with an intended outcome that will contribute to improving the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS or preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS in realistic and measurable ways.

All projects, organizations and/or partnerships supported by Project Positive must involve the participation of people living with HIV/AIDS in the delivery, management, and/or evaluation of the project.
